History

Repossi, a historically renowned High Jewellery and Jewellery Maison from Place Vendôme, has embodied an elegant and avant-garde family creative heritage since its founding in 1957 in Turin. It is a jewellery saga that has spanned generations, evolving throughout time whilst preserving the very essence of the Maison's identity and its unique connection to modern art and minimalist architecture by reinventing classic designs in both High and Fine Jewellery.

GENESIS IN TURIN, 1957

Costantino Repossi, with a passion for Art Deco and a unique vision of industrial design, laid the foundations of the Maison Repossi by opening his first boutique in Turin in 1957. Initially a designer for the automobile brand FIAT, he leveraged his technical expertise to later infuse his love for creation and artisanal craftsmanship, passing down this precious legacy to his son Alberto.

EXPANSION TO MONACO IN 1978

Alberto Repossi, son of the founder, started designing his own pieces at a very young
age. After being trained in the family ateliers as a silversmith, he started working alongside his father in the early 70s, and soon transformed the Maison into a worldwide reference for jewellery.

Thanks to his astery of precious stones and his greatsense of volume, he created iconic pieces with a strong identity, that maintained a balance between comfort and femininity.

Alberto's creations, characterized by their vibrant hues and grandeur, captivated royalty.

A PRESENCE ON PLACE VENDÔME

From the glamour of the 1980s to the elegance of Parisian avant-garde, the Maison found its home on Place Vendôme in 1986, the year Gaia, Alberto's daughter, was born.
Alberto Repossi presented his opulent creations to an international clientele, solidifying the brand's place within the era and embracing innovation to continuously redefine jewellery.

A NEW ERA WITH GAIA AND THE STUDIO

The history of Repossi was enriched by Gaia Repossi, Alberto’s daughter, who injected new creative energy into the House. At just 21 years old, she reinvented the traditional solitaire by floating diamonds between two fingers, giving rise to the iconic Serti sur Vide collection. The Repossi studio has continued since then to reinvent traditional jewellery codes, blending primitive inspirations with modern art and architecture to create audacious designs intended to be worn as "Art à Porter”.
